The Big Bear Valley has enjoyed a grant-funded Curbside Vegetation Chipping Program since 2005. A residential structure fire was reported on Canyon Road in Fawnskin at approximately 8:51 a.m., on Friday, October 25, 2019. This will be an additional way to notify the community in the event of an emergency. The first test will begin on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:00 am with a 15 second siren blast.
