The Polish state professional fire brigade, State Fire Service (Państwowa Straż Pożarna) ordered 20 Rosenbauer aerial rescue devices at the beginning of March, which will be produced and delivered this year. The vehicles are seven L32A-XS 3.0 turntable ladders and thirteen L42A-XS 3.0 turntable ladders.
The procurement is co-financed by the European Union with funds from the Cohesion Fund, the vehicles are stationed at fire brigades in 14 of the 16 voivodeships, the political administrative districts of Poland and are thus, distributed practically throughout the country.
Turntable ladders with XS technology
Rosenbauer turntable ladders with XS technology as a package are one of the best aerial rescue solutions
Rosenbauer turntable ladders with XS technology as a complete package are currently one of the best aerial rescue solutions on the market and, thanks to their special joint technology, can be set up in very tight spaces. The vehicles for Poland are built on MAN two-axle chassis with a gross vehicle weight of 15.5 or 18 tons.
They have powder-coated, five-part ladder sets with tilting cage arms that are raised and swiveled fully automatically (CAN bus). They are equipped with security podiums and modular equipment rooms. Horizontal-vertical supports, which can be extended up to 4.85 m, ensure a safe stand.
Multi-functional workplaces
The rescue cages are multifunctional workplaces with power and water connections as well as a removable, remote-controlled water / foam cannon (RM15 with up to 2,000 l / min) for immediate firefighting. The baskets offer space for five people and have a payload of 500 kilograms; the working height is 32 or 42 meters.
All turntable ladders are fully equipped with LEDs, from front flasher to ambient lighting to high-performance headlights on the lower ladder. In addition, numerous automatic functions make it easier to use the devices, such as the automatic return of the ladder set to the storage position or the repeated approach to saved positions (target memory system) at the push of a button.
