When it comes to chemical protective clothing, industrial workers have a lot of factors to consider. They need a garment with barrier fabric that will prevent hazardous chemicals from permeating through, along with seam construction that won’t compromise the garment at potentially vulnerable areas, and a garment design that is appropriate for the task and potential exposure.
Within the Tychem line of protective apparel from Dupont Personal Protection (Dupont), Tychem 6000 F is a popular choice for a broad range of applications, ranging from chemical spill clean-up, emergency response, to military and petrochemical applications.
Tychem 6000 F garments
Tychem 6000 F garments are made from a lightweight and durable fabric (<500 grams per garment) consisting of a proprietary barrier film, laminated to a heavy-duty Tyvek substrate.
Tychem 6000 F garments offer excellent chemical permeation protection to an extensive range of chemicals, thereby helping to protect personnel against numerous toxic industrial organic chemicals, highly concentrated inorganic chemicals (even under pressure), particulates, biohazards, and certain chemical warfare agents.
Available garment designs include coveralls with or without face-seal, and accessories, such as aprons, gowns, sleeves, and boot covers.
