A few days ago, at the A+A Safety (A+A 2023) trade show in Germany, DuPont Personal Protection (DuPont) announced the winners of this year’s Nomex® Innovation Award.
For industrial applications, PW Krystian was selected for its innovative ChemGuard® protective clothing range made with Nomex® Comfort with EcoForce™ technology, a sustainable and durable chemical-repellent finish.
ChemGuard® protective clothing range recognized
Comprised of a protective jacket and bib-and-brace trousers, it is designed for workers in the industrial sector
Comprised of a protective jacket and bib-and-brace trousers, it is designed for workers in the industrial sector, such as the chemical, mining, gas, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
Conventional solutions used to offer chemical repellency properties typically contain fluorocarbon compounds, which form a protective coating when the wearer encounters the hazardous substance.
DuPont™ EcoForce™ finish
DuPont™ EcoForce™ finish is not based on fluorinated chemistry in its manufacturing process and contains >50% biobased materials. It offers also outstanding durability thanks to its certification after x100 cycles.
The clothing is more lightweight and comfortable when compared to equivalent fabrics in the market, and Krystian’s ergonomic cut with elastic inserts ensures freedom of movement during various activities. Moreover, standard acid-resistant garments require re-impregnation with an acid-resistant finish often after each wash cycle.
ChemGuard® protective clothing made with Nomex® Comfort with EcoForce™ technology does not require re-impregnation and can go through as many as 100 industrial wash cycles.
