At approximately 1800 hours, E811 was alerted to respond to the 6800 block of New Hampshire Ave as the working fire engine on a structure fire in Company 44’s area. C811B marked up to respond as well. Units on scene reported fire in a restaurant kitchen within a shopping center. The fire was quickly brought under control by PE844 and TK855’s crews. E811 assisted units on scene by checking the exposures for extension before returning to service.

Eric Lounsbury has joined the Hannay team as the new Facilities Director and Coatings/Finishing Manager. For the past 4 years, Eric has been the site facilities manager at GlaxoSmithKline’s plant in Oak Hill, New York. Prior to GSK, Eric acquired several years of wide-ranging experience as a chief building engineer for CBRE amongst other positions. Eric’s hands-on skills and knowledge are expected to be a great asset to Hannay Reels.
