At approximately 0400 on Sunday morning, E811 and C811A were alerted to respond to a house fire in Beltsville. First units on scene advised they had fire through the roof and on side Charlie. E811 operated as the third due engine on the house fire in Company 31’s area. E811 crew advanced a 2” attack line through side A and extinguished fire in the attic. E811 operated for approximately an hour before returning to service.

Sprinklers were activated as a result of a fire caused by a portable heater in close proximity to a blanket where the resident was asleep and under the influence of alcohol. Sprinkler system also raised the alarm to warn the resident (flow switch activating the alarm system). On the afternoon of 02/29/2020, CSVHFD Paramedics and Firefighters responded to a medical emergency in a local neighborhood. With a wonderful outcome, and no need to transport the patient to the hospital, the paramedics and firefighters spent some time on the scene with the local residents and children showing them the equipment they use every day to help someone potentially in need of their services. 

On the evening of 02/29/2020, CSVHFD Firefighters responded into the city of Edgewood along with Erlanger, Elsmere, Fort Mitchell, and Florence Fire Departments for a large residential structure fire in the 3,000 blocks Turkeyfoot Rd. CSVHFD members operated on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours prior to returning to a jurisdiction. During this time, the paramedics and firefighters were also able to staff 2 ambulances and 2 additional pieces of fire apparatus.

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire at a thatched property.
