Viking Electronics introduces the SRL-1, a single-line loud ringer with built-in LEDs. Quickly notify employees of incoming calls and visitors with four traditional ringing sounds and doorbell tones, while also flashing the built-in LEDs for added visibility. “The SRL-1 adds loud ringing to analog phone systems, and with the built-in LEDs there is quick and easy identification of the incoming call,” says Joanne Minke, Sales Department, Viking Electronics. Unique and loud ring The SRL-1 will generate loud ringing and bright flashing LEDs from an analog ringing line or from a dry contact closure. There are 4 different ringing sounds to choose from. The loud ringing is easily adjusted and a test button is included to check the volume. The SRL-1’s unique sounding rings are helpful for employees that often work away from their desks, allowing them to recognize when their phone is ringing instantly. The second set of contact inputs will trigger a door chime (doorbell) sound. This can be used to notify that a door has opened or as a doorbell or push the assistance button. The SRL-1 comes complete with a power supply and connections for an optional external speaker.
The versatile 300-IP SIP Paging Horn is designed for voice paging via SIP and multicast. It also allows for background music, mass notification tones, and messages via multicast. “The 300-IP is extremely efficient comparing amplitude to power requirements. With full SIP and multicast paging compatibility, this is a great product,” said Paul Speltz, Engineer, Viking Electronics Inc. Features The 300-IP registers as a third-party SIP endpoint device to a hosted or local VoIP SIP phone system. The paging horn can automatically answer inbound calls and allow paging through the unit. The same horn can also be assigned to as many as 10 multicast groups which allow it to receive prioritized pages. The 300-IP is PoE powered, and the built-in class D amplifier is capable of driving audio through the horn at up to 113 dB SPL. Viking’s model RC-4A is able to sync with the 300-IP to provide relay closure capabilities for door strike, paging, loud ringing, and ring-flash modes. Installation For outdoor installations where the unit is exposed to precipitation or condensation, the 300-IP is available with Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) and designed to meet IP66 standards.
The new PP-250 can be used as a stand-alone paging amplifier or to add 250-Watts of power to existing paging systems. “The PP-250 amp is an economical paging solution both financially and for its small footprint. A lot of power is packed into that small chassis,” said Paul Speltz, Senior Engineer, Viking Electronics. Paging amplifier The PP-250 is a rack-mounted paging amplifier that provides 250 Watts of paging power. The unit is compatible with both 25V and 70V paging speakers. The high-efficiency amplifier technology reduces heat dissipation allowing for smaller chassis size, increased reliability, and lower cost. Multiple cascading systems A 600 Ohm input on the PP-250 connects to any analog line-level audio source. The 600 Ohm input can also be used to daisy chain the PP-250 from another amplifier like the Viking PA-250 or Viking PA-250-IP. The PP-250 also features a 600 Ohm output which is ideal for cascading multiple PP-250 units to scale paging systems for applications of any size. Multiple volume controls and protections allow users to adjust paging system audio levels at the PP-250 unit itself. While bass and treble equalization controls help dial in clear audio.
