The first of two airport crash tenders type FLF Z8 with extinguishing articulated arm were commissioned by the Nuremberg airport fire brigade on the 14th of November, 2008.

Ziegler designed the first airport crash tender type Z8, created especially for the demands of aircraft fire fighting, for Nuremberg airport more than 16 years ago; and supplied the model in 1992.

Part of the Z8 series, the new generation of this proven and successful model has now been delivered to the airport fire brigade  at Nuremberg. During the keys handover the procurement team thanked Ziegler sincerely for their excellent service.

Particularly the ergonomic control of the extinguishing articulated arm by joy-sticks integrated in the arm rests of the driver and the co-driver on right-hand side has been emphasized.
