ZIEGLER, also known as Albert ZIEGLER GmbH, announced that it has acquired shares in the globally renowned manufacturer of aerial rescue platforms, CELA srl, company based in Italy. The cooperation will be on the development, production and sales of aerial rescue platforms.

At the beginning of the year, ZIEGLER had sealed the cooperation with CELA srl by purchasing 25 percent of CELA srl shares. Through the cooperation, ZIEGLER is, therefore, able to expand its vehicle portfolio in the area of aerials and water towers, and creates a new market for high quality rescue stages mainly for the international market.

In the product range for fire rescue stages, CELA designs and manufactures telescopic aerial platforms and water towers. With their innovative and technologically advanced solutions, CELA srl is able to produce telescopic aerial platforms with a working height of 22 - 72 meters and water towers with a working height of 18 - 72 meters.

In addition, special vehicles can be developed on customer request. At the manufacturing site in Corte Franca (Brescia), in Northern Italy, CELA produces about 300 vehicles per year with 70 employees so far mainly for the industrial use.
