Without sufficient oxygen concentration, there is no fire: This is how WAGNER's active fire prevention system works in a nutshell.

"Even a slight change in the air composition in the room can be the decisive factor for comprehensive fire protection. In automated warehouses or archives in particular, high or irretrievable values can be protected preventively in this way. But systems for fighting fires also often work with oxygen deprivation," explains Dirk Band, Head of Sales at WAGNER Group GmbH. The company is presenting its fire protection solutions at the FeuerTrutz trade fair on June 26 and 27, 2024 in Nuremberg in Hall 4a, Stand 315.

Fire protection systems

WAGNER is presenting its fire protection systems from a single source. "Preventing fires is of course the best way to avoid endangering people and protecting processes and the environment. But even where our active fire prevention is not an option, we always find the better solution in fire protection thanks to our holistic approach - for every application," says Dirk Band. "If required, we also carry out fire tests for this."

Those interested can find out what fire protection solutions can look like at the company's exhibition stand. The basis is always the earliest possible fire detection. For this purpose, WAGNER offers the highly sensitive aspirating smoke detectors of the TITANUS ® family. These detect fires as early as possible. This earliest possible fire detection means that effective countermeasures can be initiated as quickly as possible to protect people and assets.

Possible fire detection

In protected areas where people are not constantly present, for example in automated storage applications such as high-bay warehouses or deep-freeze warehouses, active fire prevention with OxyReduct ® prevents the formation and spread of flames.

This technology is certified, proven and also convinces insurance companies. Short-term work in the protected areas is even permitted under strict national regulations. This is because staying in the protective atmosphere is comparable to staying in the mountains for the human body. Healthy people can therefore easily carry out occasionally necessary activities in the protected area.

Active fire prevention

It fights fires effectively and at the same time offers optimal protection for property

If the use of OxyReduct ® for active fire prevention is not possible, WAGNER supplements fire detection with the FirExting ® fire extinguishing system. When an alarm is triggered by a TITANUS ® aspirating smoke detector, the inert gas extinguishing system can be controlled directly. With it, WAGNER offers an efficient solution for residue-free and non-destructive fire extinguishing.

It fights fires effectively and at the same time offers optimal protection for property, inventory and the environment. Extinguishing damage such as that caused by water, spray mist, foam or by contact with the burning material is avoided. This is because gas extinguishing removes the basis of a fire: extinguishing gases either suffocate the source of the fire by displacing the oxygen from its surroundings, or they remove the necessary heat energy from the fire. Operations on site can be resumed quickly after the fire has been extinguished.

Holistic security concepts

In dangerous situations such as a fire, it is crucial to keep an overview. Only then can those involved react quickly and appropriately. Buildings and facilities benefit from holistic security concepts that ensure maximum transparency and security through the interaction of different systems and uniform operation. Danger management systems such as Visu LAN ® and WinGuard integrate and control security-relevant systems centrally via a comprehensive user interface. They enable a quick and coordinated response to events.

At FeuerTrutz, visitors can experience fire protection first hand: firstly, with a live demonstration of the hazard management system. Secondly, exhibits from the TITANUS ® family and a FirExting ® firefighting system can be discovered on site. This shows how holistic fire protection works in practice and how it helps to increase safety even in critical situations.
