WAGNER Schweiz AG celebrated its tenth anniversary.

Together with the managing partners and co-founders Dr. Markus Müller and Dr. Peter Stahl, around 100 guests and employees toasted the first decade of the company's history in the elephant house at Zurich Zoo.

an established provider

Founded in 2007 as a Swiss subsidiary of WAGNER Bayern GmbH and part of an internationally active WAGNER Group, WAGNER Schweiz AG has developed into a successful company for holistic fire protection solutions in this decade.

Its specialty is fire prevention through oxygen reduction with the product OxyReduct®.

storage and logistics applications

The company has succeeded in establishing this technology as a standard in Switzerland for storage

The company has succeeded in establishing this technology as a standard in Switzerland for storage and logistics applications and has helped to develop a Swiss standard, which, among other things, forms the basis for an EN and ISO standard.

But modern and sensitive smoke extraction systems, especially for early fire detection in IT rooms, are also part of WAGNER Schweiz AG's portfolio.

Fire protection solutions for rail vehicles

A year ago, fire protection solutions for rail vehicles based on innovative water mist technology were also part of the range.

With this technology, WAGNER Switzerland was able to complete its portfolio for the rail sector. However, the rail business has been concentrated in WAGNER Rail GmbH, which was founded in 2017 and is based in Munich, to build up and expand the business internationally.

The two Swiss Managing Directors Müller and Stahl continue to advise WAGNER Rail on technology, development, and sales. The Swiss are also represented in the important standardization committees CEN and ISO.

Expansion with a branch in Western Switzerland

The two managing directors are convinced that the company can only establish itself in western Switzerland

To support the responsibility and success of WAGNER Schweiz AG on additional shoulders, the company is continuing to expand in Switzerland. On January 1, 2018, a branch was opened in Biel as the headquarters in western Switzerland.

The attractiveness of the market in this region and initial interesting references contributed to this step. The two managing directors are convinced that the company can only establish itself in western Switzerland with its local presence.

fire protection

Thomas Strebel, who is joining the team and is responsible for the position of Head of Sales and Plant Construction, will manage the company's fortunes from Biel. With Strebel, the company has gained a recognized expert with many years of experience in fire protection.

He will work for the whole of Switzerland, lead project managers, set up the special fire protection solutions division, and focus more strongly on sales activities in western Switzerland from the Biel location.

More information about WAGNER Schweiz AG is available online or live at the Logistics & Distribution trade fairs in Zurich on April 11th and 12th, 2018, and from November 14th to 16th, 2018 during the SECURITE LAUSANNE 2018 trade fair.
