For companies as well as for insurers, hazardous goods storage is often a "hot" matter in double literal meaning it comes to fire protection, which must be considered individually in each case.

VdS-tested solution

At the international trade fair FeuerTrutz in Nuremberg from June 21 to 22, 2023, WAGNER Group GmbH will present a specific, VdS-tested solution for a high-bay warehouse of KETTLER Alu- Rad GmbH.

Other trade fair highlights at booth 317 in hall 4A include the OxyReduct® cabin, in which interested parties can experience fire behavior in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere on site, and the VisuLAN® hazard management system based on WinGuard.

Fire protection for the storage of lithium-ion batteries

WAGNER implemented a VdS-approved fire protection solution for the fully automated high-bay warehouse

In terms of fire protection, the storage of the hazardous material lithium-ion battery is extremely demanding. There is no standard solution for this.

WAGNER implemented a unique, VdS-approved fire protection solution for the fully automated high-bay warehouse of KETTLER Alu-Rad GmbH, where up to 50,000 e-bikes are packed ready for shipment, and stored with installed batteries.

TITANUS®

Based on the risk analysis of the protected area and in combination with the individually defined protection goals and extensive fire tests, the individual solution consisting of the oxygen reduction system OxyReduct® and the certified early fire detection system TITANUS® was developed.

TITANUS® aspirating smoke detectors form the basis of every individual, holistic fire protection solution at WAGNER and detect fires at a very early stage so that countermeasures can be initiated directly.

In the event of thermal runaway of a battery, the solution of early fire detection and oxygen reduction protects the other stored e-bikes from fire damage. Chain reactions are avoided and the ability to deliver is maintained.

The lighter test: Experience OxyReduct® live

In the booth, the oxygen content is kept at a reduced level in a controlled manner

For defined protection areas, oxygen reduction is an optimal fire protection solution, because fire cannot spread in an oxygen-reduced atmosphere under defined conditions.

This can be experienced live at FeuerTrutz in the OxyReduct® booth at the WAGNER stand. In the booth, the oxygen content is kept at a reduced level in a controlled manner.

No lighter flame can be generated in this atmosphere. WAGNER offers this preventive fire protection solution for many areas of application, such as in fully automated logistics, but also in data centers or for the storage of hazardous goods.

State-of-the-art hazard management - as efficient as can be

In a hazardous situation such as a fire incident, it is important to maintain an overview and respond appropriately as quickly as possible.

For corporate security, a range of protective measures, security systems, and control mechanisms must be taken into account.

WinGuard

WinGuard is a highly integrated hazard management system that supports a holistic security concept

To ensure that the respective solutions for this are not isolated applications, the German sales company WAGNER Deutschland GmbH offers WinGuard, a highly integrated hazard management system that supports a holistic security concept and can be flexibly adapted to the respective system environment.

Based on WinGuard, the system integrates the entire building and hazard management independently of the manufacturer, collects incidents from various security and information systems, and visualizes them on a uniform user interface.

Presence of Advancis

In addition to the fire protection experts from WAGNER, the partner of WAGNER Deutschland GmbH, the company Advancis, will also be on-site at booth 317 in hall 4A and will present the hazard management software WinGuard in the latest version X5.

Visitors can get to know the new user interface and gain insight into how the system works.
