The WAGNER Group GmbH is expanding its business in Asia: The new subsidiary WAGNER Fire Safety India Private Limited has started operations with effect from June 1, 2023.

The group is thus underlining its consistent path of internationalization and positioning on the global market for fire protection solutions.

WAGNER.2026 strategy

"With the move to India, we are continuing to implement our WAGNER.2026 strategy and, in addition to our solid market position within Europe and our North American business, we are also expanding the Europe - Southeast Asia axis," says Steffen Springer, Managing Director of WAGNER Group GmbH.

"In this context, India is a strategically important market in which we see great growth potential." WAGNER has already successfully entered the Indian market through its subsidiary WAGNER Rail GmbH, based in Haar/Munich, which sells fire protection systems for rail transport.

Deep-freeze storage

The management board of WAGNER India is made up of Torsten Wagner and Steffen Springer - both managing directors

The business area of the newly founded company lies particularly in the logistics market segments with a focus on deep-freeze storage as well as in the pharmaceutical, data center, and textile production sectors. The management board of WAGNER India is made up of Torsten Wagner and Steffen Springer - both managing directors of the WAGNER Group GmbH - together with Sandeep Hajra, who has a direct connection to customers and market needs on site.

The manager, who has many years of management experience in various global corporations, will set up and expand the business with holistic fire protection solutions in his home market.

Fire protection

"It is an honor that the WAGNER Group GmbH has entrusted me with this important task. I look forward to developing and establishing WAGNER India in the local market."

"Fire protection in our core market segments is an important issue: economically and ecologically as well as about the safety of the population. I see great market potential in India and neighboring countries for better solutions in fire protection," explains Hajra.
