Viking SupplyNet, a global provider in the distribution of fire protection and life safety systems, announces the availability of a new FlexHead® flexible sprinkler drop for commercial suspended ceilings. SuperFlex™ is the only fully welded, two inch bend radius, commercial fire sprinkler drop in the industry. The product features a flexible, stainless steel hose with full ten-braid strand construction. The new product is UL Listed with a tight two inch bend radius – offering up to twelve bends at its longest length of six feet. All SuperFlex™ drops are produced as one piece, which eliminates several potential leak points compared to the competition.

FlexHead® Industries’ new and innovative SuperFlex™ drop, when combined with the FlexHead® Multi-Position Tall Bracket – the industry’s tallest bracket – can be fully installed without touching the ceiling tile, providing installers with the quality and versatility needed to get the building to occupancy faster,” said Joe Beagen, FlexHead® Director of Engineering.

Easy final inspections

According to Beagen, SuperFlex™ does not require the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to count the number of bends, or measure the diameter of the sprinkler hose bends during final inspection, since SuperFlex cannot be bent any tighter than the two-inch Listed bend radius, and cannot be bent more times than the UL Listed maximum number of bends. Inspectors simply need to look for the bright blue SuperFlex™ label for quick and easy final inspections.

In May of 2017, Viking SupplyNet announced a new strategic partnership with FlexHead® Industries to offer the complete line of FlexHead® flexible sprinkler connections and accessories. FlexHead® products are available from more than thirty Viking SupplyNet distribution centers in North America.
