The Viking Corporation, a global provider of fire protection and life safety systems, announced the release of “Viking Tools for Revit,” an innovative suite of Revit add-ins dedicated to the design of fire protection systems. Revit, from Autodesk, is multidisciplinary BIM software used by building design professionals to produce consistent, coordinated, and complete model-based building designs and documentation.
Fire protection professionals can now leverage Viking’s tools to develop more efficient and accurate workflows in Revit. Included in the complimentary toolbar, is Viking’s all-new Revit family library and other valuable tools and utilities for the design of fire sprinkler, foam fire protection, and clean agent fire suppression systems.

These tools include a sprinkler spacing utility, integrated sprinkler selection tool, clean agent manifold generator, and foam grate nozzle connector. A key component of the new Viking toolbar is the “Clean Agent Assistant” (CAA) application, which enables the design and calculation of a clean agent suppression system within Revit.
The helpful CAA wizard walks the user through the necessary design steps including calculating the amount of agent and supply cylinders, auto-generating a manifold, placing nozzles, and drawing system piping. At the end of the CAA design process, a detailed project summary is provided including all calculation outputs and a complete bill of material for the clean agent system.
