The Victoria Fire Department is hosting a family-friendly open house on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Fire Department Headquarters, 1025 Johnson Street

What visitors can expect:

  • Visit the fire hall and B.C. Ambulance station
  • Take part in games and activities
  • Spray a fire hose
  • Meet Sparky the fire safety dog and Bearamedic
  • Check out the fire truck fleet, including the new electric fire engine and a pumper truck from 1925
  • Feed the hungry crew at the Victoria Firefighters Foundation charity barbecue

Getting there:

Johnson Street will be closed between Vancouver and Cook to make room for the festivities. Please walk, roll, ride or bus down to take part if able to. BC Transit will detour around the block during the road closure. Free secure bicycle parking will be provided on site.
