Victoria City Council has adopted a new strategic plan to guide investment and focus the City’s work over the next four years – to improve the quality of life for residents, support economic health and vibrancy, and position the City as an innovative leader in climate action.

"The Strategic Plan’s eight priorities envelop the big ideas City Council wants to realize by 2026," said Mayor Marianne Alto.
Mayor Marianne Alto adds, "In partnership with City staff and our residents, with the support of other governments and allies, we will work to imagine and realize the inclusive, accessible, tolerant, welcoming city our children and grandchildren can call home."

- Parks, Recreation, and Gathering Spaces
- Community Well-Being and Safety

- Arts, Culture, Music, Sport and Entertainment

The four-year plan prioritizes decisive leadership and innovative approaches to intentionally transform Victoria into a more affordable, safe, and inclusive city by 2026. The goal is to create a dynamic environment where residents can envision a future for themselves and generations to come.
The 2023 - 2026 Strategic Plan was developed by members of the Council over a series of facilitated public discussions earlier and was informed by City staff.
