ImageTrend, Inc. announced the addition of Recreational Substance fields within the ImageTrend Elite electronic patient care record system to document vaping and other recreational substance-related use in a pre-hospital setting.
Better awareness and insight
Recreational Substance fields can easily be added to any Elite run form within seconds
These new data elements will contribute information to this important emerging public health issue for better awareness, research, and insight. The Recreational Substance fields can easily be added to any Elite run form within seconds for quick and concise documentation.
ImageTrend worked with state partners to create a set of elements and values that would be applicable nationwide to add to the spectrum of the current national healthcare concern. The Clinical and Research team at ImageTrend is working with clients and stakeholders to create more insight to better understand the extent of the issue through research.
Addressing public health concerns
“It was important for ImageTrend to respond quickly and prioritize the updates as this is a national concern,” commented Doug Butler Jr., Clinical Specialist at ImageTrend. “Analysis of this data will create awareness and understanding to address the effects of these substances on public health and underline the importance of education and cessation programs.”
With the November 2019 update, these Recreational Substance fields are available to all ImageTrend Elite clients, and will also allow state and regional systems to collect these recreational substance values from non-ImageTrend data systems upon import. The reporting and analysis of this data will show the significance of pre-hospital data documentation in the public health environment.
