Asia's leading trade event organiser, UBM has organised a special panel discussion highlighting the overview and outlook of the security, fire and safety industry in Thailand. The panel discussion took place on 7 August at The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok and was attended by key officials from government bodies and renowned industry players.

Themed ‘Elevating Thailand's Readiness in Security, Fire and Safety’, the panel discussion's objective was to bring related government bodies, associations and key personnel in the buying chain together and discuss about current challenges, increasing threats and the best solutions to overcome forthcoming issues.

Notable speakers for the panel discussion were Dr. Vallop Kingchansilp, International President, Asia-Pacific Security Association; Pol. Col. Akkarin Sukkasem, Deputy Commander, Criminal Records Division, Office of Police Forensic Science, Royal Thai Police; Mr Surachet Sringam, Vice President, The Building Inspector Association; and Gen. Bunjerd Tientondgee, National Space Policy Committee and National Cybersecurity Committee. It was moderated by Maj. Gen. Dr. Prachya Chalermwat, a professional from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence.

The four speakers focused on different topics, which are ‘Thailand Security Industry Overview’ by Dr Vallop, ‘The Increasing Trend of Crime: Prevention and Deterrence’ by Pol. Col. Akkarin, ‘Risk and Hazard that May Occur to Buildings: How to Prevent or Mitigate’ by Mr. Surachet and ‘Cyber Security: How to Protect and Prevent’ by Gen. Bunjerd.
