TriTech Software Systems and Lucas County Department of Emergency Services sign a beneficial contract

TriTech to provide integrated computer-aided dispatch and mobile data solution to support all law enforcement, fire and emergency medical agencies in Lucas County and City of Toledo.

TriTech Software Systems, a leading provider of EMS and public safety software solutions, proudly announced the contract signing with Lucas County Department of Emergency Services, OH, for a countywide public safety project which includes VisiCAD computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and VisiNet Mobile data solutions. The multi-jurisdictional, multi-agency solution will support all law enforcement, fire and emergency medical agencies in Lucas County and City of Toledo.

Lucas County has seven primary public safety answering points (PSAPs)/dispatch centers, one secondary PSAP/dispatch center, five dispatch only locations, two back-up centers and numerous administrative CAD user positions. The countywide computer-aided dispatch and mobile data solution supports eighteen law enforcement agencies, fifteen fire agencies and one ALS medical agency operating within Lucas County.

"We are very excited to partner with Lucas County Emergency Services on their important countywide public safety project," says Chris Maloney, president and CEO of TriTech Software Systems. "With similar installations such as Bexar County and City of San Antonio, Texas, TriTech Software Systems is an experienced and proven provider for large scale multi-jurisdiction and multi-agency implementations such as Lucas County. Our computer-aided dispatch and mobile data solutions enable multiple agencies across widespread jurisdictional boundaries to implement their own business rules while meeting the shared goals of interoperability and information sharing. Additionally, our seasoned team of professionals combined with our superior implementation methodology will ensure project success and long-term viability for Lucas County."

TriTech will provide system integration and project management in partnership with its subcontractor Emergency Technologies,Inc

TriTech's VisiCAD computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system is a feature-rich solution developed for larger public safety agencies operating in complex, high volume environments. Designed with multi-agency, multi-jurisdiction capabilities, VisiCAD allows multiple PSAPs and agencies to operate on the same system and share information, yet the system is flexible to allow agencies to implement their own business rules and processes. With VisiCAD, all law enforcement, fire and emergency medical agencies in Lucas County will be provided shared access to incident and unit information to improve resource management and response times across jurisdictional boundaries. The integrated mapping and live routing capabilities utilizing the street network of VisiCAD will provide Lucas County Dispatchers resource recommendations based on closest available unit by fastest estimated response time regardless of which PSAP receives the call.

Mission critical information processed by VisiCAD will be available to field personnel through integration with VisiNet Mobile, TriTech's wireless mobile data solution. VisiNet Mobile provides field personnel with secure, real-time access to CAD, RMS, CJIS and other and other public/proprietary databases and full messaging capabilities to bridge the communications gap between the dispatch center and field personnel. Similar to VisiCAD, VisiNet Mobile is flexible, highly customizable solution enabling users to configure fields to meet their specific agency needs.

Additionally, TriTech will provide system integration and project management in partnership with its subcontractors: Emergency Technologies, Inc. will provide Visual Fire, its fire records management solution; Orion Communications will provide its AgencyWeb solution; Field Soft will provide an Incident Management system; and Deccan International will provide its Live MUM move-up module.
