TOA Corporation UK, a global manufacturer of cutting edge commercial audio and security equipment, has announced the introduction of a new series of free to attend training courses for 2018. Building on the success of the company’s existing training activities, the three new courses are open to all those interested in acquiring the latest skills and knowledge regarding the specification and installation of audio systems.

Each course will run twice during the year, in order to allow as many people as possible to attend. Taking place on 13th March and 18th September, the 100V Masterclass is aimed at electrical contractors and installers of 100V line systems, as well as those involved with the specification and sale of this equipment. Delegates will receive expert instruction on all aspects of design and installation, as well as best practice techniques that enable the configuration of a simple 100V line public address (PA) system.

Energy efficient system

Winner of the InAVation Award 2017, the VX-3000public address and voice alarm (PA/VA) system has been a significant success story for TOA Corporation UK. A cost effective, robust, reliable and energy efficient system, which combines all of the important functions for PA/VA in one unit, it makes design and installation much easier, saves space, reduces cable complexity, and enables rapid system configuration. The VX-3000 Masterclass takes place on 24th April and 16th October, and offers installers and specifiers the opportunity to discover more about its unique features and how to get the best out of system operation, choice of equipment and programming.

Last, but certainly not least, the Voice Alarm Masterclass offers an ‘All you need to know’ guide to BS 5839 and EN 54 compliance. It is aimed at those that have some practical experience of 100V line systems but who would like to get more involved in VA, or who simply need a refresher course. Taking place on 5th June and 27th November, the course provides an overview of what is required when specifying, installing and maintaining VA systems. It also offers a summary of the BS 5839 and EN 54 standards, a guide to when to use VA, the technology behind these systems and examples of appropriate applications.

New knowledge and skills

Led by renowned audio industry expert, Jonathan Harris-Cowley, at TOA Corporation UK’s headquarters in Leatherhead, Surrey, each course will take place between 9.30am-3.30pm. As well as the chance to find out about the latest developments in these specific areas, delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions and network with industry peers.

The working environment is rapidly evolving and audio professionals must continuously acquire new knowledge and skills in order to remain at the cutting edge of what they do,” commented Ian Bridgewater, director at TOA Corporation UK. “Knowing how to correctly specify and install audio equipment the highest standards is extremely beneficial and our new courses highlight our commitment to education and the sharing our world class expertise.”
