David has worked in the fire and facilities management industries for 15 years
David will provide technical support and guidance to fire systems partners and engineering systems designers

David Howard has been appointed by System Sensor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell, to support growth in the company’s new FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology portfolio across Europe.

In the newly created role of technical specialist, David’s principle task is to provide technical support and guidance to fire systems partners and their Engineering Systems Designers, helping them to interpret new codes of practice and specify advanced detection technology to meet a range of life safety applications.

Sean Clay, Sales Leader, Honeywell Sensors & Devices, EMEAI, said, “David brings considerable knowledge of aspiration fire detection to the technical support team, adding to our existing in-depth expertise of point fire detection technology. With laser based aspiration detection expected to see the fastest annual growth of all smoke detectors in the next few years it is vital to be able to offer extensive technical support and guidance to our fire systems partners. David is already working very effectively supporting our recently-launched FAAST and FAAST LT products, which are generating a high level of demand amongst end users.”

David has worked in the fire and facilities management industries for 15 years for companies including Siemens, Preussag and Johnson Controls. He has considerable experience gained as a field engineer and technical consultant, designing and managing life safety and fire protection projects. He also has extensive knowledge of the gas suppression sector.
