Superior Uniform Group, Inc., announced that Janice Henry, Vice President of Design, will provide insights to the laundry, linen and environmental services community about trends in eco-friendly fabrics at upcoming Association of Linen Management meetings hosted by the Smokey Mountain Music City and North Texas Chapters. Ms. Henry is scheduled to discuss eco-friendly business strategies and provide details about the availability of eco-friendly fabrics in the marketplace.
“Eco-friendly has moved beyond trend status - it’s the new reality in the garment business,” explains Henry, a leading advocate of eco-friendly business strategies. “While the linen and image apparel industry won’t change business practices overnight, there is an expectation that steps will be taken to integrate new practices. I look forward to sharing our perspective on those practices that can make immediate impacts to accomplish lofty goals, such as offsetting carbon footprints.”
With 23 years of experience in the image apparel industry, Henry has seen the development of new fabrics and fashions change over the years. Her designs have helped Superior Uniform Group win eco-friendly fabric lines for key foodservice accounts. Henry’s expertise in this field has also won numerous image awards for the company.
The Smokey Mountain Music City Chapter meeting will be held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN on April 14th, and the meeting for the North Texas Chapter will take place at HCA Healthcare Company Services in Coppell, Texas on May 7th.
