Bronze Helmet sponsorship will help fallen firefighters and survivors
Streamlight is a leader in manufacturing professional flashlights used by firefighters and rescue workers

Streamlight's contribution will be used to fund various National Fallen Firefighters initiatives, including the organization's National Memorial Weekend tribute to fallen heroes.

Streamlight Inc., a leading manufacturer of professional flashlights for the fire market, once again is helping to honor fallen firefighters and their survivors through its "Bronze Helmet" sponsorship of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). The non-profit organization celebrates the lives of firefighters who have died in the line of duty, and assists their families and co-workers.

Streamlight's contribution will be used to fund various National Fallen Firefighters initiatives, including the organization's National Memorial Weekend tribute to fallen heroes, which this year will be held at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, October 2-3. A plaque with the names of 80 firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2009 will be added to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. Military firefighters who died while performing firefighting duties from 1981-2009 are among 25 fallen heroes from previous years who are also being honored at this year's tribute.

Streamlight's sponsorship support also helps fund scholarships awarded to spouses and children of fallen firefighters, and counseling programs for agencies who have lost colleagues in the line of duty.

"To be a firefighter is to commit to saving the lives of victims while putting one's own life at risk," said Streamlight President and Chief Executive Officer Ray Sharrah. "Streamlight is deeply honored to help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation commemorate the lives of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that others might live."
