Streamlight is the leading producer of high performance fire lighting equipments

Streamlight® Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights, announced the promotion of Ray Sharrah from Chief Operating Officer to President and Chief Executive Officer. He replaced C. Bradford Penney, who recently retired.

The company also announced the promotion of George Collier to Executive Vice President. He will retain his current title of Chief Financial Officer.

Sharrah began his Streamlight career in 1976 as a part-time employee while still attending college and joined the company full time in 1978 as Sales Manager. He held a variety of positions in the sales, marketing, and manufacturing departments before being named Vice President in 1985 with responsibility for all company operations and new product development.

During his Streamlight career, Sharrah has been responsible for obtaining over 80 U.S. and over 12 international patents for lighting technology that benefit flashlight users across a variety of industries. Collier joined the company in 1988 as Vice President of Finance. He previously worked for Philadelphia Steel and Wire as Controller and Vice President of Finance and is a former auditor for the Arthur Anderson Company.

“Ray consistently achieved impressive results when he led Streamlight’s operations and I am confident that he will show the same exemplary leadership as president of our company,” said Harry French, Chairman of Streamlight’s Board of Directors. “I am looking forward to the continued contributions both he and George Collier will make to Streamlight in the years to come.”

Sharrah earned a Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University. Collier received a Bachelor’s Degree from Bowden College and an MBA degree from Emory University.
