Streamlight, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance lighting equipment for professional and consumer applications, today announced a series of personnel moves in its military, law enforcement and industrial sales teams, designed to further strengthen its growing presence in these markets.
Matt Baker has been appointed to the position of Director of Sales - Military and Federal divisions. Baker, who assumes responsibility for sales activities with the U.S. government and military services, spent four years in the Marine Corps military police and most recently served as Vice President of Government Sales at Xenonics Holdings Inc., Carlsbad, CA, a manufacturer of specialty illumination and tactical lighting devices.
He previously held positions with First Choice Armor & Equipment Inc., Spindale, NC, a manufacturer of ballistic armor, and Gall's Inc., a Kentucky-based distributor of a wide range of products for the military, law enforcement, fire and security industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky and resides in Charlotte, NC.
Tim Taylor has been promoted from National Sales Manager to Director of Sales - Law Enforcement division, with responsibility for overseeing all sales activities for the company's Law Enforcement markets, leading a team of sales managers and independent sales agencies to implement market-focused strategies to generate sales among law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Prior to joining Streamlight in 2000, he worked for Simpson Sales Company, Inc., headquartered in Lawrenceville, GA, where he represented law enforcement products. He also previously has served as a police officer. He attended the University of South Carolina and is a resident of Columbia, SC.
Bobby Knight has joined the company as Regional Sales Manager - Law Enforcement division, with responsibility for Streamlight's Southeast territory. Prior to joining Streamlight, Knight was the Regional Sales Manager - Tactical Division for Under Armour, headquartered in Baltimore, MD, where he managed retail sales in the Southeast and Southwest and was responsible for key accounts. He previously worked for Simpson Sales Company, Inc. where he was responsible for retail sales to law enforcement equipment dealers in Southern states.
Other changes in the Law Enforcement Sales division include the appointments of Brett Marquardt to Assistant Director with responsibility for Federal Law Enforcement sales and the Northeast Sales Region, and Robert Steinberg to Midwest Regional Sales Manager. Jeffrey Orr remains Regional Sales Manager for the Western U.S., Western Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
The company also announced it appointed Pat Conry to the post of National Accounts Manager of the company's Industrial Division. In his new role, Conry will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with major national retailers, dealers, distributors, wholesalers and buying associations in support of sales activities in the company's industrial markets.
Prior to joining Streamlight, Conry was Director of Sales for Los Angeles-based Ironclad Performance Wear, where he was responsible for sales of industrial, automotive and safety accounts working through leading industrial distributors and retailers such as W.W. Grainger Inc. and Sears. He previously was Vice President of Sales at McCulloch Motors, Sante Fe Springs, CA, a leading supplier of power tools and other products, and held a number of other sales management positions for industrial equipment manufacturers including Chicago Pneumatic, Rock Hill, SC; Waterloo Industries, Waterloo, IA, and American Tool Companies, Vernon Hills, IL.
Conry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loras College in Dubuque, IA. He is a member of the National Exchange Club, the International Supply Association and the International Glove Association. He lives in Waverly, IA.
