Alongside the exhibition ran a two day conference that was attended by over 100 senior delegates
The feedback from all the exhibitors highlighted the fact that Securexpo is the market leading security event

Securexpo East Africa took place for the first time this September at the Visa Oshwal Centre in Nairobi and has been hailed as a great success from both visitors and exhibitors alike. With 1724 trade visitors attending the three day event, the exhibition and conference instantly became the largest security event of its type in the region.

Positive feedback from participants

During the event, there were 857 different products on display from the 50 international and local exhibitors. One exhibitor, Hemil Patel from Magenta K Ltd said about the results they got from the show, “Securexpo was a great exhibition and fantastic for us and for the local market. We sell high-end integrated security systems and we received a lot on enquiries and have already confirmed business from people we met at the exhibition.”

The feedback from all the exhibitors highlighted the fact that Securexpo is the market leading security event in the region. 85% of space was confirmed at the event for the next edition showing peoples belief in the future of the exhibition. Subsequently, the organisers have doubled the amount of space available for next year by opening into the next door hall.

Expanding security market in Kenya

Alongside the exhibition ran a two day conference that was attended by over 100 senior delegates. With subjects on the regional security situation, counter terrorism and cyber security, amongst others, visitors has the opportunity to listen to top end speakers that only a handful of people have access to. One of the delegates, Terry Downes said about the whole event, “Securexpo was an inspirational event. As someone who truly cares about the industry in Kenya, it was Jaw dropping to see the scope and quality of participation.”

The security industry in Kenya is currently going through rapid and continual growth. With recent issues surrounding crime and terrorism, organisations in the region are taking their security situation increasingly serious by investing in security products. International exhibitors at Securexpo commented that with other African markets difficult to operate or some being saturated, they see Kenya as a huge opportunity for them. The combination of these factors result in huge investment and are helping the local industry to grow tremendously.

Montgomery ECO East Africa

Securexpo is another feather in the cap to organisers Montgomery ECO East Africa. The company is the largest trade exhibition organisers in the region running now five separate trade exhibitions. The company is also the largest organisers of security exhibitions in Africa and with this successful launch of the Kenyan event, now covers the whole of Sub-Sharan Africa with its security events.

Alongside Securexpo East Africa next year, Montgomery ECO East Africa will run K-OSH, an occupational health and safety exhibition that will be able to leverage off the success from Securexpo. With similar buyers, this event will increase the offering to the visitors and allow for increased results for all participants.

Securexpo East Africa is returning from 8-10 November 2016 at the Visa Oshwal Centre in Nairobi.
