The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) has announced that Sean Carroll, who served as Director of Government Affairs at the organization, has resigned from his position, after 17 years of dedicated service to the nation’s fire and emergency services. He recently accepted a position with Kidde, as its Associate Director of Government Relations.

Advocate for the CFSI legislative agenda

Sean’s work at CFSI has had a tremendous impact on the nation’s first responders and the family members of the fallen heroes. Since 2002, he has advocated for the CFSI legislative agenda, by developing working relationships on Capitol Hill with members of Congress in the Senate and House, on both sides of the political aisle and offering his counsel and knowledge on a broad range of issues.

Sean Carroll has also organized coalitions that worked together to advance many of the fire service’s legislative priorities

Sean Carroll has also organized and facilitated coalitions that worked together to advance many of the fire service’s legislative priorities, including reauthorization of the AFG and SAFER grant programs and the United States Fire Administration (USFA), as well as the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act. For over 15 years, Sean was recognized as one of the fire service’s most knowledgeable advisors on all matters relating to the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program.

Supporting the nation’s fire and emergency services

The CFSI Board of Directors and staff express their thanks and gratitude to Sean for his 17 years of service to the organization,” said William (Bill) Jenaway, Congressional Fire Services Institute’s (CFSI) President.

Bill Jenaway adds, “His contributions are immeasurable, benefiting our organization but more importantly the men and women of our nation’s fire and emergency services. We wish him the very best as he takes on new challenges with Kidde.
