One of the world's premier business contests, and certainly one of its toughest, has reached its finale: the European Business Awards. Rosenbauer, a global-playing manufacturer of fire engineering equipment, was nominated as one of the Top 10 best companies in the category "The Infosys Business of the Year Award".

This contest sponsored by HSBC and others honours excellence, best practices and innovations in the European business community. It gives companies from EU member states the opportunity to measure up against one another in ten different categories, across sectors and across borders. Entering for this prestigious award is a chance for companies to benchmark themselves against the best businesses in Europe and to submit themselves to rigorous independent analysis of their economic significance.

An international accolade

As one of 15,000 entrants from 30 different countries, Rosenbauer succeeded in being ranked among the best 10 in the category "The Infosys Business of the Year Award". The European Business Awards 2010 were presented in Paris on November 16, 2010. Robert Kastil, CFO of Rosenbauer International AG was there to receive the award: "With its over 140-year history behind it, the Rosenbauer Group has risen in the past few years to become the leading manufacturer in its sector. We concentrate on doing what we do best on our core competences and have been reaping international success as a result."

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, had the following comments to make on the success of the various category winners: "Each year we witness impressive entries from some outstanding companies who have some great stories to tell. This year is no different; the quality of applicants is rising as are the number of entrants, so these organisations who have achieved Country Representative status truly are the best of the best".
