Rosenbauer Group welcomed Rolf Klopfer to the Metz team

Rolf Klopfer is pushing on Metz Aerial’s development as an international aerial and turntable ladder manufacturer in a targeted manner.

The sales team at Metz Aerials GmbH & Co. KG, the aerials specialist within the Rosenbauer Group, has been strengthened by the arrival of Rolf Klopfer (46), who assumed its management at the turn of the year. In this function, Rolf Klopfer succeeds the company CEO, Gottfried Reiter, who has taken well-earned retirement.

Gottfried Reiter (61) started his career at Rosenbauer during 1970 in engineering before he moved to international sales in 1985. Gottfried Reiter then played a major role in developing sales in south-east Asia and Scandinavia and made a significant contribution to Rosenbauer’s global success, prior to taking over the management of Metz Aerials in April 2008. This assignment has now been assumed by Michael Kristeller as the sole CEO.

As the senior sales manager, Rolf Klopfer is pushing on Metz Aerial’s development as an international aerial and turntable ladder manufacturer in a targeted manner. In his new job, he is responsible for the sales, marketing and service area and with his long-term experience greatly strengthens his team.

Rolf Klopfer brings with him a close affinity with internationality derived from his previous assignments. He spent nearly 28 years at the successful carmaker, Daimler, and among other tasks, was involved in sales for international superstructure producers, key account management for large international customers and the executive management of the company sales office.

Rolf Klöpfer is also the commander of a fire service unit and can now combine his hobby and his profession in an optimum manner.

Metz Aerials GmbH & Co.KG is the Rosenbauer Group’s aerials competence center and at its location at Karlsruhe in Germany, 279 employees produce turntable ladders and aerials for fire services around the globe.

We are pleased to welcome Rolf Klopfer to the Metz team and would like to take this opportunity to wish him an excellent start.
