Building on the themes explored in its ‘Managing Fire Risk in the Fifth Façade’ session, ROCKWOOL is set to present a panel discussion on ‘Designing Compliance in the Fifth Façade’ at London Build Online (15th – 24th March 2021), the UK’s largest virtual event for the construction industry.

The session, which will take place on 18th March 2021 (9:30 am), brings together experts from across the industry for a detailed discussion of compliance criteria relevant to flat roofs.

Building regulation compliance

The panelists will explore the regulatory importance of tapered falls and the calculation of U-values at gutter details, the significance of acoustic considerations in flat roof specifications, and examine the requirements of Approved Document B with regards to effective compartmentation in the fifth façade.

Will Wigfield, the Product Manager – Flat Roofs, ROCKWOOL UK, commented “Given the complexity of modern flat roof design, achieving building regulation compliance is not always straightforward. To support the industry with addressing this challenge, we’ve assembled an expert panel to discuss a series of key considerations, and are looking forward to sharing knowledge and best practice on the topic.”

ROCKWOOL’s ‘Designing Compliance in the Fifth Façade’ session is free to attend and will give visitors the opportunity to pose questions direct to the panel.
