Being a member of EMS Update section would provide various benefits granted by NVFC for its members

The EMS/R Section is comprised of NVFC members, but is its own separate group that focuses on issues pertaining to the volunteer emergency medical and rescue services.

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) produces the EMS Update as the newsletter of its new EMS/Rescue Section. They hope that you might have enjoyed the content of this newsletter, which focuses on news and information specifically for emergency medical and rescue personnel.

The EMS Update is now only being sent to those who are members of the EMS/R Section. Join today to keep receiving the EMS Update, as well as to receive all of the benefits of Section membership.

Membership in the EMS/R section is only $15 and is open to all NVFC members, whether you participate in the emergency medical or rescue services or simply have an interest in EMS. Become part of this group committed to the advancement of the volunteer emergency medical and rescue services and receive benefits including:

  • Voting rights. Each member has the ability to vote at the Section's bi-annual meetings
  • Raising the profile of volunteer EMS. Members can affect change by working collectively on legislation, standards, codes, and other policy areas that impact volunteer EMS
  • EMS Update. Members receive an e-newsletter that is specific to EMS issues
  • NVFC Member Benefits. As NVFC members, all EMS/R Section members also receive full NVFC member benefits

The EMS/R Section is comprised of NVFC members, but is its own separate group that focuses on issues pertaining to the volunteer emergency medical and rescue services. The Section has its own leadership, elected annually by the Section membership, and can make recommendations to the full NVFC Board of Directors. The Chair of the EMS/R Section sits on the NVFC Executive Committee.
