Global wireless solutions firm Ramtech has announced a new partnership with Immix, the security monitoring software provider. The collaboration will enhance the technology offering of both firms, by delivering a combined complete fire protection and safety solution within the global security market.

Under the new agreement, Ramtech’s innovative WES wireless evacuation system will integrate with the Immix CS/GF platforms – a monitoring solution that operates with more than 500 video, audio, alarm, and GPS systems. The combined integration means that facilities and site managers can now monitor 24/7 security and fire risk across a range of industries through one system – saving time and enhancing efficiency.

Building management systems

John Tyrer, Sales Director at Ramtech said: “Protecting properties, people, and site assets has always been a top priority for Ramtech, pioneered by our wireless solution, WES. What this new partnership does is elevate further our ability to deliver real-time rapid response to site emergencies at the touch of a button, integrating site security with a range of building management systems.”

The Immix integration ensures site and security managers now have an all-round monitoring solution"

Alongside our remote management platform REACT, the Immix integration ensures site and security managers now have an all-round monitoring solution, covering fire, medical and security alerts. Operating 24/7, the integration will go some way to helping companies save on that huge expense that is associated with site damage across multiple service industries every year.”

Vast construction sites

Jason Caldwell, Marketing Director at Immix said: “We’re pleased to be integrating the Ramtech WES solution into our market leading CS/GF platforms, which will enhance the scope and capability for safety managers to prevent site emergencies from one all-encompassing system.”

Ramtech’s WES and its upgraded offering, WES3, is a pioneer in the construction market, supporting some of the firms, including Turner Construction, in its quest to provide dedicated site safety in temporary environments. Certified to EN54-25 standards, with inbuilt smoke and heat detection systems, it has been designed to replace the costly inefficiencies often associated with on-foot patrols on vast construction sites. It works in combination with the REACT platform, a cloud-based alert system that instantly notifies site managers of a possible emergency, covering fire and water damage, lone worker support, and chemical spillage.

Dedicated site safety

Prevention is always the best form of defense, and as well as adding that extra level of assurance"

Alongside the Immix platform, this system will now work in cohesion to deliver dedicated site safety and security reports on-the-go. John added: “Prevention is always the best form of defense, and as well as adding that extra level of assurance to insurance enquiries, technology such as this can mitigate the huge inefficiencies often associated with expensive call outs to fire departments, reducing the need for local evacuation and other associated fire plans during false alarm scenarios.”

One firm that has experience utilizing both the Ramtech and Immix systems is the US security business Mobile Video Guard. Using WES and the Immix platforms for more than two years, the newest partnership is seen as a natural cohesion between two safety-first technologies, according to company owner and founder, Shawn Scarlata.

Fire safety technology

Shawn said: “Over the years, Mobile Video Guard has been influenced and designed with the principle of technology reaching the areas where on-foot patrols can’t.”

While change across America can be slow in the uptake of fire safety technology, what you have here really is simplicity in security professionals' hands – the ability to manage sites at the touch of a button, with automatic in-detection for some of the most common risks, particularly on construction sites, linked in with the added boost of integrated callout to emergency services. I can’t recommend both companies highly enough and call on project managers across the construction industry and more to adopt the benefits afforded by wireless fire safety and security technology.”
