The 27th WC Firefighter Combat Challenge was held from October 22nd to 27th, 2018 in Sacramento, California, USA. During this event, fire brigades from all over the world competed in a 5-challenges race.

Firefighter Combat Challenge

Throughout the year, fire soldiers have always faced many risky situations where their good physical condition is essential. The Firefighter Combat Challenge competition, founded in May 1991, was created to recall this.

Registration for the 27th WC Firefighter Combat Challenge is increasing and the challenges are always interesting

If the first edition counted only 5 American teams, the 27th edition of this challenge will welcome teams from many nations, including New Zealand, Germany and France. Registration for the 27th WC Firefighter Combat Challenge is increasing and the challenges are always interesting. Some of the challenges lined-up for the event will include:

  • Climbing a five-story tower,
  • Weight lifting,
  • Chopping,
  • Dragging hoses,
  • Rescue of an 80 kg weighing victim.

Performing all tasks in full protective gear

These events, in connection with the daily missions of the Fire Brigade, were timed in order to establish a classification. The major difficulty during these challenges is that they are performed in full gear. This did not prevent the participants from setting new records that you can find on the results page of the Firefighter Combat Challenge website.

POK S.A.S is happy to support events in line with the company’s values. The company is, therefore, eagerly awaiting the 2019 edition, where the audience will once again get to see these men and women who, every day, are dedicated to the safety of individuals and goods in their respective countries. It is for them that POK is constantly innovating to offer products that are always more efficient and guarantee their safety.
