Leading workplace service provider PHS Group has acquired the total fire protection company, Fyr Fyter (UK) Limited. This business will join PHS Compliance, the specialist service provider for compliance in electricity, gas, fire and power management.
Fyr Fyter is a leading provider of complete, high quality fire safety services, equipment and specialist training programmes. The Durham-based company was founded in 1999 and has grown to become a recognised and respected fire protection provider, delivering a national fire protection service to organisations across the public and private sector.
Commenting on the deal, Fyr Fyter’s director Brian Hogg said: “The success that we have achieved with Fyr Fyter would not have been possible without the support of our valued customers and staff. Because of this, we have been keen at every step of the sale process to understand PHS’s approach to doing business. Fyr Fyter is CHAS accredited, BS EN ISO 9001:2008, certified by BSI, BAFE registered (SP101 and ST104) and is a full member of the FIA (Fire Industry Association). As part of PHS Compliance, Fyr Fyter will further develop the company’s fire safety compliance provision, with specific services that include provision for fire prevention, maintenance, testing, containment, means of escape, fire detection and warning.
