Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) is warning of the dangers of smoking in the home following the tragic death of a man in a fire in Whiston at the weekend. On January 4th, 2021 around 0800 hours, E811B was alerted for a structure fire in the 4700 block of Navahoe Street. First arriving companies found smoke coming from the rear of the home and started the working fire dispatch. E811B stretched a backup line to the structure and checked exposures.
