The new Oshkosh Striker Simulator virtual reality training system
The new Oshkosh Striker Simulator virtual reality training system, one of the industry’s most sophisticated, will be set up for hands-on demonstrations. Already on duty at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, the Striker Simulator system is engineered to depict a nearly endless array of training scenarios for aircraft rescue and firefighting organisations. The Striker Simulator system enables more realistic, more varied, and more intensive training opportunities. The system delivers a giant leap forward in realism, with actual Striker vehicle cockpit components and controls along with a series of widescreen video monitors. The system features a Scenario Toolbox that enables incident commanders to easily develop highly realistic and varied emergency situations from an easy-to-use drop-down menu.
