According to Andy Ward, Sales Director at OpenView Security Solutions: “We are proud to have achieved FIRAS certification which enables us to demonstrate to clients that our door sets meet all regulatory requirements and provide residents with the highest level of safety and protection. This enhances OpenView’s comprehensive portfolio of fire protection services and enables us to offer an even wider range of services to our public sector clients.

BS EN 1634-1:2014 standards compliant fire doors

OSS provides a complete design, manufacturing and installation service for bespoke timber doors, residential and communal portcullis door sets and screens. Every security and fire door is manufactured to comply with relevant regulatory requirements including sustainability, Secured by Design and DDA standards.

The FD30 and FD60 fire doors are all fully tested to BS EN 1634-1:2014 standards and use fire-rated Door Closers, Hinges, Smoke Seals and Intumescent Seals to help stop fires spreading.

Fire stopping solution to seal penetrations

The FIRAS Fire Stopping certification ensures that penetrations, where services such as water, gas, electrics or communications enter through a building’s fire resistant compartments, are appropriately sealed with a suitable fire stopping solution including Fire Batts, Intumescent Sealants and Pillows, Fire Sleeves, Pipe Collars and Wraps.

OpenView is uniquely experienced in the delivery of total fire protection solutions that enable public and private sector housing providers to meet their regulatory obligations and ensure the highest level of protection for residents. Our portfolio also includes emergency lighting, fire alarms, extinguishers, compartmentation, fire coatings and fire risk assessment remedial works programmes, all of which are installed to meet or exceed the latest regulations and standards,” concluded Ward.
