Nittan's new smoke detector provides reliable fire detection without unwanted false alarms

Nittan (UK) Ltd., a leading UK manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products, has launched the 0KB3 Conventional Smoke Detector designed for industrial use where space is at a premium.

Measuring just 40mm(W) x 40mm(L) x 45mm(H) and weighing 55g (including the base plate), the 0KB3 is exceptionally small and unobtrusive, making it ideal for applications such as transport containers, aircraft WCs and computer racking systems.  It is also extremely rugged, coping with the most demanding of environments.

An advanced, premium Smoke Detector, the 0KB3 works on the principle of Scattering Light detection.  As with all Nittan products, the 0KB3 provides extremely reliable fire detection with a high degree of protection against unwanted false alarms, enhanced by its ability to automatically adjust its detection sensitivity against dirt.

The 0KB3 Smoke Detector has been designed for use with Nittan’s CPC-3 Control Panel – a dedicated, compact control unit, manufactured from stainless steel.  Up to 20 0KB3 Smoke Detectors can be used with one CPC-3 Control Panel.
