Following the launch of an Implementation Tool for both the Prevention and Protection Fire Standard, the Fire Standards Board are delighted to publish six further tools covering each of the previously published Fire Standards.  

The NFCC Implementation Team has been pivotal in developing these tools in response to feedback from services following the launch of the first eight Fire Standards this year.  

Providing useful evidence

Published standards include: 

  • Emergency response driving
  • Operational preparedness
  • Operational competence
  • Operational learning
  • Code of Ethics
  • Community Risk Management Planning  
  • Protection 
  • Prevention 

These tools are designed to assist services review and benchmark their position against any given standard and aid the planning of any action they may need to take to implement and achieve the standards. Services may also wish to use them to provide useful evidence for HMICFRS inspections.
