Cleveland-based apparel manufacturer and parent company of DRIFIRE®, National Safety Apparel® (NSA) announce its contributions to the US Department of Health and Human Services PPE initiatives in the fight against COVID-19.

Providing protective masks

National Safety Apparel has committed to help achieve the coalition goal to make 1.5 million+ face masks per week

In partnership with the Hanes / Parkdale coalition of USA textile companies and small and medium-sized apparel manufacturers, National Safety Apparel has committed to help achieve the coalition goal to make 1.5 million+ face masks per week in the USA.

NSA has begun manufacturing protective masks to provide this essential PPE for workers on the frontlines, at both our Cleveland and Chicago manufacturing locations.

Providing gowns

In a second, simultaneous effort to fight the COVID-19 global pandemic, National Safety Apparel has partnered with a textile manufacturer to sew gowns.

Samples have been submitted for approval and production should begin before month’s end.  Both efforts are part of direct initiatives with HHS (US Department of Health and Human Services).

Fighting against COVID-19

NSA is proud to be a subcontractor for these products and they are committed to mobilizing substantial resources to make as many masks and gowns as we can in the coming weeks.

CEO Chuck Grossman shared, “We’re glad to contribute our capabilities to the fight against COVID-19 and keep as many NSA workers as possible employed during these challenging times.”

While we are allocating significant production resources in Cleveland and Chicago to the cause, we remain committed to producing safety clothing for workers in essential businesses such as electric utilities, the armed forces, and the US postal service.”

Military and safety apparel

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, National Safety Apparel designs and manufactures high-quality industrial safety apparel and military apparel, providing garments for industries including electrical and gas utilities, steel mills and aluminum foundries, glass plants, construction, manufacturing, and the armed forces.
