At LAAD (Public and Corporate Security International Exhibition), Motorola Solutions is presenting the concept of end-to-end integrated security and defense with the most advanced sensors, handheld devices, software, cameras, radios, and artificial intelligence to create safer cities and help public safety and defense officers in emergencies or as they handle their daily duties.
The visibility, communication and logging of field operations have always been paramount for security force commanders. With a rich heritage of innovation spanning more than 90 years, Motorola Solutions is presenting its integrated system, an end-to-end solution fully aligned with the digital era of public and private defense and security, at the LAAD Exhibition.
Sensors and body cameras for field officers
This connected solutions suite provides situational awareness to the command center""We came to the LAAD Exhibition with all the technology needed to integrate the communications of public safety and defense forces. We are talking about sensors, fixed cameras and body cameras for field officers as well as command and control, cloud and artificial intelligence software."
“These technologies are already available for the Brazilian government and market, which rely on our radio communication systems, and are an essential part of defense and public safety organizations. This connected solutions suite provides situational awareness to the command center and advanced information to field officers," explained Elton Borgonovo, general manager for Motorola Solutions Brazil.
Showcasing the Tactical LTE device
At the booth, the company will be showing the Tactical LTE device that will generate an on-site 4G LTE ‘bubble’ to integrate different solutions. The dedicated 4G service created by the device, optionally supports interoperability, through added equipment and applications, with radios on the TETRA and P25 systems, with encryption, which prevents unauthorized people from listening to messages or viewing data. It even enables the use of multimedia data, transmitting video, images, maps, and other information in real time between the control center and the field officers.
One such application is WAVE, which integrates radios, cellular networks and desktop computers
In addition to the Tactical LTE device, Motorola Solutions will also showcase the LEX L11, a rugged device that has advanced applications for mission-critical communications, as well as high-definition cameras and dedicated buttons for emergency and alert communications. One such application is WAVE, which integrates radios (P25, TETRA and DMR), cellular networks and even desktop computers with the ease of the Push-To-Talk (PTT) application.
Si500 video speaker microphone
The Tactical LTE and LEX L11 solutions integrated into the digital radio are already in operation in the State of Paraíba. Other Brazilian cities are testing these solutions.
One of the main new features to be introduced at the exhibition is the system that integrates sensors within the police officer’s gun holster. When the gun is drawn, the Si500 video speaker microphone’s audio and video recording is automatically switched on, providing an unbiased account of an incident. Videos are stored under strict security standards and can be used in court for investigative purposes.
At the command center, video and audio from the Si500 camera is uploaded to CommandCentral Vault, Motorola Solutions’ digital evidence management system. Cloud-based storage ensures on-demand scalability and the latest in data security, without the difficulties of storing, managing, backing up and securing data evidence on agency servers.
Integrating sensors, cameras for monitoring
The CommandCentral software line enables the integration of sensors, cameras and devices for real-time monitoringThe CommandCentral software line enables the integration of sensors, cameras and devices for real-time monitoring. Another important feature is its ability to generate reports and maps of incidents, such as robberies, thefts, and other crimes. The software uses machine learning to analyze behaviors and patterns, and it can help law enforcement agencies more proactively respond to incidents.
Avigilon, acquired by Motorola Solutions in 2018, will showcase its latest enhancement of Avigilon Appearance Search technology, an AI search engine that helps to dramatically improve incident response times by enabling operators to quickly search through hours of footage to locate a person or vehicle of interest in a particular place.
Exhibiting H4 Multisensor and IR PTZ cameras
Avigilon will also feature some of its advanced camera lines, including the H4 Multisensor camera, which combines self-learning video analytics with exceptional coverage provided by 3 or 4 individually configurable camera sensors that can be positioned to monitor virtually any area; the H4 Infrared Pan-Tilt-Zoom (IR PTZ) camera, which can capture images up to 250 meters in complete darkness; and the HD Pro cameras, which cover vast areas in high detail and reduce the number of cameras required.
