minimal first aid supplies

While working on a northern Alberta oil and gas service rig one day, Mike suffered a workplace accident that shattered his thumb into 16 pieces. There were only six other people on site, and it took several minutes for a coworker to find and assist Mike.

The site also had minimal first aid supplies and limited cellular reception, so it took a long time for Mike to get the help he needed.
