The Magirus Team Cab will be integrated into all of the 53 fire engines ordered via Emergency One

The Magirus Team Cab scores with great comfort, functionality and security, which convinces fire departments around the world. Babcock International Group (Babcock), responsible for all fleet management tasks of the London Fire Brigade, has now specified and ordered 53 fire engines via Emergency One UK Ltd (E1), the Scottish fire-fighting technology equipment manufacturer. The Magirus Team Cab will be integrated into all of them.

The first vehicle will be delivered in May; delivery of the remaining 52 vehicles will extend over the next one and a half years until the end of 2017. London’s fire-fighters will thus be protected by state-of-the-art safety technology during their operations.

The vehicle was unveiled and presented in a ceremony in the presence of HRH Prince Charles, or the Duke of Rothesay as he is known in Scotland. Ron Dobson, Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade, said: “It was an honour to be able to show the prototype to His Royal Highness and I am looking forward to the new designs going into service later this year.”

“With the Team Cab, we were able to offer E1 and Babcock an excellent crew compartment. In addition to the special comfort it offers, it is the first cab on the market to be certified according to the newest ECE crash test requirements,” said Thales Maia, Director of Sales and Marketing at Magirus.

The Duke of Rothesay also praised the “incredible high-quality appliance” and congratulated all those involved for their contribution.
