Thomas Hilse has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Magirus, the global firefighting equipment business of CNH Industrial.

Thomas Hilse succeeds Marc Diening, who after the successful turnaround and sustainable re-positioning of the company, elected to leave the company at personal request, in order to pursue new challenges.

New CEO appointed

With Thomas, we appoint a Senior Manager to continue the successful development and further strengthen Magirus’ position, as a major provider of firefighting equipment,” said Gerrit Marx, the President for Commercial & Specialty Vehicles, at CNH Industrial.

Gerrit Marx adds, “We are grateful to Marc Diening for the remarkable turnaround achieved under his leadership. We regret his decision and wish him well for his professional and personal future."

Thomas Hilse has a strong track record, with 24 years of experience in the commercial vehicles industry

Thomas Hilse has a strong track record, with 24 years of experience in the truck, bus, and commercial vehicles industry, through various international management positions held for different brands, in Europe, NAFTA, Latin America, and South-East Asia.

Before joining Magirus, Thomas Hilse served as the Brand President of IVECO (CNH Industrial). He has studied Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, and also holds an MBA degree in International Relations.
