As a continued effort to strengthen industry engagement with the bioeconomy sector, Lenzing participated at the World BioEconomy Forum for its first time, which was held from September 9th to 12th in Ruka, northern Finland.

The event brought together major think tanks, regulators and operators from 22 different countries from 6 continents to exchange views on various subjects, such as biostrategies, forest bioeconomy, climate change and circular bioeconomy.

Bringing positive impact

There are a lot of insightful sessions during the event, but the spotlight went to the CEO Panel of companies exclusively involved in the bioeconomy. Lenzing also took the opportunity to introduce its biorefinery offerings, in particular LENZING™ Acetic Acid Biobased, and its commitment to reducing carbon emission at the panel.

Elisabeth Stanger, Head of Marketing/Business Development Global Pulp&Wood/Biorefinery at Lenzing, shared at the CEO Panel, “With sustainability as a core value, Lenzing develops and implements bio-strategies to bring positive impact to nature. Being part of the World BioEconomy Forum further strengthens Lenzing’s position among other world experts in the discussion of bioeconomy. We aim to drive eco-conscious practices throughout the value chain via our biorefinery product portfolio.”
