It is designed for rapid initial attacks during firefighting operations and technical assistance: the portable pump vehicle with water tank (TSF-W) is a multipurpose vehicle suitable for a wide range of possible operations. And that is also the reason why German fire departments and disaster protection organizations have ordered over 350 of them from Rosenbauer.
Well over 200 units have now been manufactured at the Rosenbauer competence center for compact vehicles in Neidling near St. Pölten in Lower Austria and have already been delivered to fire departments and disaster protection organizations in Germany.
Compact basic vehicles
After the State Office for Internal Administration of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania concluded a supply contract for 265 TSF-W with Rosenbauer at the end of 2021, the number of units has now risen to over 350. The sophisticated concept of the vehicle from Rosenbauer's ‘Compact-Technology Profile’ product line is impressive. Numerous other fire departments have also become aware of this and have ordered identical vehicles.
The compact basic vehicles for initial attacks during firefighting operations and technical assistance are built on an Iveco Daily 72C18 chassis with a total vehicle weight of 7.2 tons and loaded in accordance with DIN 14530-17 (equipment for a firefighting squad). The FOX 4 portable fire pump mounted on an inclined extension is the centerpiece of the large capacity superstructure including the 1,000 l water tank: it can be operated both from within the vehicle and remotely.

The crew (1/5/6; additional crew) is accommodated in the driver's cab and in the integrated crew cab, which is also equipped with four SCBA holders facing the direction of travel and helmet holders on each seat. LED strips and a pneumatically extendable LED light mast ensure optimum scene lighting even in the dark. A pull-out hygiene wall with water connection and the reversing camera on the radio display in the cab are further equipment features of the vehicle.
Rosenbauer is breaking new ground with its vehicle training courses, which are also offered online. Using personalized access to the Rosenbauer e-learning platform, vehicle crews can familiarize themselves with the portable fire pump vehicle without having to travel. Numerous detailed videos provide information on all the functions and help users to use them in practice when the vehicle is received.

Rosenbauer is naturally delighted about the major order from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the high level of market interest: "We see this as confirmation of our many years of good cooperation," says Ronald Reisinger, CEO of Rosenbauer Germany.
The high demand from other customers also proves that the sophisticated vehicle with its purposefully developed concept meets the needs of many fire departments - in an extraordinary way. This is because the TSF-W from the CT Profile body module series is now even manufactured as a ‘product of preference’ and can be offered to interested customers with significantly shorter delivery times.
