KME Fire Apparatus, a manufacturer of fire apparatus, announces the delivery of six (6) new Type 3 Interface Pumpers to the Santa Clara County Fire Department in Santa Clara, CA.

The delivery of these six Interface pumpers will join dozens of KME units currently in service within the Santa Clara County Fire Department. The new Type 3 Interface Pumpers were specifically engineered by KME to handle the rigorous demands placed on these apparatus.

Face Challenging Wildland Fires

Built on an International 7400 4x4 crew cab, the Type 3 Interface Pumpers feature:

  • Cummins 350 HP engine and Allison transmission
  • 12 gauge steel body with stainless steel wetside tank
  • 500 two stage PTO pump and water tank
  • Secondary engine pump for pump-and-roll
