The IOSH South Downs Branch has joined together with the IOSH Fire Risk Management Group for a collaborative event, Fire safety in the workplace on 25 March.
The day-long seminar which will take place at Roffey Park, West Sussex, is open to IOSH members and non-members alike, aiming to provide comprehensive fire training for all health and safety practitioners, managers, and consultants.
The event promises to showcase how the daily responsibilities of an OSH professional are linked to all issues surrounding workplace fire safety as well as risk management and what businesses can do to provide assistance during an incident.
Event Plan
With a full program of informative presentations based on experiences of working through a real fire event, including:
- How to deal with fire safety issues?
- How to overcome alarm complacency, risk assessments, and planning for an emergency evacuation, the event will offer a deeper understanding of these important industry issues.
- Attendees will also hear the personal experiences of those who have lived through a major event, offering valuable skills to take away and apply to your workplace.
- The event will include a presentation on Dealing with individuals with disabilities during fire emergencies from IOSH Vice-President, Dr. David Gold.
- Q&A panel discussion with Chair of IOSH Fire Risk Management Group, Neil Vincer.
