WAGNER has received the "Innovative through Research" seal from the Stifterverband on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). This is awarded to companies that take part in the survey on research and development.

The aim is to obtain a picture of the German research and innovation system in the business sector. Despite the pandemic, WAGNER has been able to significantly increase its spending on the department.

Graduate Engineer - Florence Daniault, Head of the Innovation & Knowledge staff at WAGNER Group GmbH, explains the background, "The research & development (R&D) department is one of the drivers of our company."

She has witnessed the company's development from a small company to a larger medium-sized company

The Graduate Engineer has worked at WAGNER for more than 30 years, has developed software, and set up the company's patent department. In addition to innovation, Florence Daniault also looks after the areas of patents and standards.

She has witnessed the company's development from a small company to a larger medium-sized company and knows the importance of constantly developing and rethinking solutions.

research and funding

Since research and development are important drivers of the German economy, the Federal Ministry for Research and Development (BMBF) has been using the Stiftverband Wissenschaftsstatistik to survey companies every two years since 2014 on how much money and creativity they invest in R&D.

The data collected is used as part of the reporting of the Federal Government, the EU, and the OECD and serves as a determining factor for the direction of German research and funding policy.

WAGNER.2026

"The pandemic has not stopped us and we now employ significantly more people in R&D than we did two years ago," reports Florence Daniault about the development at WAGNER. In 2019 there were 42 employees, but in 2021 there were 58 employees.

Florence Daniault adds, "Our total R&D investments have also increased by around 40% in the same period. In this way, we are making an important contribution to achieving the goals of our corporate strategy WAGNER.2026."
